Supporting WWP-Shawn Silcox

Arabian Horse For Humanity Saber

Saber For Humanity wasn't alone in supporting the Wounded Warrior Project at the 2019 Region 8 Championship Show! The Pro-Am Class was full of great professional trainers and amateur riders who put in a lot of work to support a great cause.

Trainer Shawn Silcox of Silcox Training in Herriman, Utah, might not have had the right horse from his own barn to enter the Pro-Am Challenge, but when he heard that Gary Martinez had a second gal who wanted to participate, he stepped right up to contribute to a fantastic event by teaming with Savanna Luedtke to ride Jessi Jacobucci's mare, Rushcreek Swat Mystea— a mare with ten National titles!

But did he, or didn't he, contribute to the costume design, a homage to the Hippies of the Sixties?

As it happens, costume design and execution are down to Savanna! Many thanks to Shawn for adding to a great Pro-Am Challenge and to Jessi Jacobucci for providing two great horses for the event!
