Supporting WWP-Jim Hitt

Saber For Humanity wasn't alone in supporting the Wounded Warrior Project at the 2019 Region 8 Championship Show! The Pro-Am Class was full of great professional trainers and amateur riders who put in a lot of work to support a great cause. Whenever there is a Region 8 project to support you will most likely find Colorado trainer Jim Hitt.
Jim's been a past Regional director, served on many, many local and national committees so it's no surprise that he's been a supporter of the Region 8 Pro-Am Challenge from the beginning! And while Jim's a fierce competitor, he's quick to point out that this class is not only a short break from that competition, it supports a great cause.
Say's Jim, "The Pro-Am class adds some extra fun and creativity to the show and also provides a great 'perspective check'. Meeting someone like veteran Marine Sal Gonzalez really brings home how lucky we all are to have men like him in our military and how much responsibility we all have to support them. The Region 8 Pro-Am class has been a Wounded Warrior benefit for the past two years and both events have raised over $3,000.00!"

Jim's mount this year was Sure Is A Whiz, a ten-year old Half Arabian mare that has earned nine National Titles in Reined Cow Horse, Herd Work, Trail and Reining for owners Dennis and Sally Douglas of Spring, TX. Julia Chapman, always up for pitching in for Gambel Oaks whenever and where-ever she can, was game to hop on as the Amateur half of the equation!
Many Thanks to Jim Hitt and the horse owners and staff at Gambel Oaks Equestrian Center for supporting the Region 8 Pro-Am Challenge!
