Supporting WWP-Gary Martinez

Saber For Humanity wasn't alone in supporting the Wounded Warrior Project at the 2019 Region 8 Championship Show!

Arabian Horse for Humanity Saber

The Pro-Am Class, a benefit for WWP, was full of great professional trainers and amateur riders who put in a lot of time work to support a great cause! Riding the winning horse in this years Pro-Am challenge, was Gary Martinez and Jessi Jacobucci, on purebred Arabian mare, Aantonina SF+/, decked out in an amazing stars and stripes theme for the win!

A winner of multiple National titles in Reining, Working Cow and Trail, this fourteen year old daughter of Aabsolut has been owned by Jessi Jacobucci since 2017, and Jessi was the amateur rider for the "Am" portion of this Pro-Am Challenge. However, the credit for "Ana's" amazing hair and make-up goes to Jessi's mom, Carrie Jacobucci!

This is the second year that Carrie has come up with a patriotic theme, with this particular look taking Carrie and Jessi about two hours to execute! Say's Carrie, "you have to put the paint on first. To get the best effect on the red and white stripes you need to put down the white first so the red can go over that and show up better. I prefer to use the white spray used for show cattle (it's brighter) but I didn't have any of that this year so the paint is all regular colored hair spray. The stars are foam adhesive that I found a Hobby Lobby.

Next up for Ana and Jessi is a trip to Oklahoma City for the Arabian Youth Nationals! Many Thanks to Gary Martinez and the riders, horse owners and staff at Sierra Vista Arabians for Supporting the Region 8 Pro-Am Challenge!
